Makes me think of Mass.
Well, that, and we had Vesper services at college, which were basically liturgical theatrical productions. :o)

Sounds too like Vespa bikes and where I live a girl would never live it down, as the town bike is a nn for a girl who sleeps around.
No
It sounds masculine to me, and reminds me of the prayers and, for some reason, spiders.

Makes me think of "the vapors" :-/
I really dislike it. It really does sound too much like Princess Vespa from Spaceballs.
That's exactly what I thought! :)
Like the prayers?
Also makes me think of motor scooters - vespas.

She was actually Princess Vespa.
According to wiki, she was named after the Vespa Scooter. :)

My association is with the indomitable character Vesper Holly, in the series of the same name by Lloyd Alexander. I'm not sure that "pretty" is the word I would use to describe it -- spunky, perhaps, probably because of the character. I'd like it on someone else's kid but wouldn't use it myself, since it's also too associated with the Catholic prayer service. I like the meaning, though "evening", and it's from the Greek Hesperus (the Greek name for the evening star, which we now know as the planet Venus).

I dislike it, although I do *love* the similar Hesper.
A vesper is an evening prayer service to me, so it seems kinda weird as a name.
I personally love it - it reminds me off Eva Green - so chic!! It is on my list although im not sure if anyone could pull it off as a fn...definately future mn material though!
