Darlene
What do you think of the name Darlene? I really like it. I noticed the comments on it when I looked it up weren't too good, though. Please be honest. Thanks for any input!

I was going to have a girl named Darlah Englishe at one point. I think it's really pretty but I still like Darlah more.
I like it, and I knew someone once with this name who spelled it Darleen. It may sound a bit dated right now, but I still like it.
Its nice but just a bit to common for me.
Darlene is okay as a name, but I have rather bad associations with it that prevent me from seeing it objectively.
It was actually my mom's middle name until she married my dad and legally removed it. She was named in honor of her grandmother, who was actually not an honorable person at all and is probably one of the few people my mom has ever come close to hating.

I think it is a dated name, but I do love the meaning. I think it's a refreshing alternative to the popular and trendy names out there. Dar is a cute nn.
I have very mixed feelings about it. The name itself doesn't sound very modern; some even say it's a little hickish. Yet, it's my grandmother's name and she is one of the kindest and most amazing women I've even known. So, the name reminds me of someone who is very sunny and kind, not at all hickish. I might even use it as a mn someday...and who knows, it might just come back in style ;-)
