I like Gwen. I prefer it as a nickname for Gwendolen, which I love, but I think it can stand on its own just fine. :)

I like Gwen a lot either as a nn or just alone. My faves for a full name (to use it as a nn) would be Gwenyth and Gwenevere.
Personally, I prefer just Gwen without a full name

I really dislike Gwen--I don't know if I have any good reasons, but the name really, really puts me off. I wish it didn't, because then I'd be all over Guinnevere; the only reason I'm not is the fear that she'd become a Gwen despite my best efforts to call her Winnie. ;)
I'd go with Gwendolen, personally (though I'm more partial to Gwendolyn myself), because there are so many other nn options there, too. Provided you love Gwendolen itself enough to use, that is. If you don't, Gwen does hold up well on its own--it simply doesn't appeal to me. ^^;;;
