HelpRe: Annemarie or Maria?

I like Annemarie better. I'm not really all into Maria. But you could always go with Ana Maria. Ana Maria is a little popular though (I know a few girls name it, but they are all 12-15 so I don't know the current popularity).
As for Annemarie. I don't think it would get mispelled a lot. I grew up with a girl named Annemarie and she rarely ever got it mispelled. She would occasionally get Annmarie or Annemary, but that's about it.
Anyway, Maria is very popular. It ranked 47 in '06. Annemarie hasn't ranked anything in since the 1990 (and even then it was in the 900s)
