The other day I was downtown and heard a woman call out the name ' Marcy' I always associated the name with Middle aged women + but instead a little girl came running.
I never really liked the name, but now Ive warmed up to it on a little girl, Though I cant see it working on teenagers or young adults.
Anyway was curious to what you thought of the name.

I've always thought of Marcy as more of a little kids' name. My mother has a cousin named Marcy, but I think it's short for Marcella, which does sound like an older person's name.
I heard a little girl in the store the other day get called Macy though, which is similar, but I think it's a much worse name.

I've always thought it pretty, and oddly enough, have always associated it with youth b/c of the Peanuts comic strip and Marcie.
Unfortunately, there's a mental institution as well as a correctional facility in the region with the name Marcy, so people around here either associate the name with mental illness or criminals. :o(
