I like Roy pretty well. LeRoy is one of our family names, you could consider using that also. or even Rory, because they're similar. Roy is 'red' and Rory is 'red king.'

I like Roy. Some people will claim its too much of a cowboy hick name, but having known two Roy's in my life I can tell you otherwise. This name is definitely ready to come into its own.

(Personally, I have loved the name Royal, nn Roy, since I encountered the character who was Anne Shirley's love interest in Anne of the Island by L.M. Montgomery. Maybe Royal stirs up too many images of kings and queens to be a practical name these days, but just for sound I still like it.)

I think it's fabulous, and if I met a little Roy, I'd be visibly excited. :)
