Eliel
Not in the BtN database, but I asked about its meaning on the Name Facts Message Board and got the reply that it means "my God is God".WDYT think of Eliel (m)? I've recentlhy redisocevered it, and now it's really growing on me. It's classic, but unusual, and in my opinion it has the same appeal the names Elliot and Daniel have, except that it's less common. I find it both handsome and adorable. What MN or FN do you think would suit it? Feel free to suggest combos.

I really like it. Eliel Lucas possibly.

I like it very much, and I think Eli is a good nn for it. As for combos, I don't have any to offer right now. My apologies, my brain is rather fried from lack of sleep. When I'm a little more alive, I'll try my hand at it.

Other than that it sounds like "eel", it's an interesting name.

I want to like the name, but don't. I guess the double -el in one name throws me. Also, do you pronounce it el-ee-el, el-ie-el, el-yel, or another way? (I'm saying el-ee-el.) I agree with you though, unusual but classic and handsome. I think as a mn I like it much better.I'm not good with combo suggestions, but maybe something more common and with a similar feel or origin... Benjamin Eliel, David Eliel, Reuben Eliel, Robert Eliel, James Eliel.

Robert Eliel is nice!

I think it would look feminine on paper. Almost like a hyphenated Elli-Elle. That is, if it sounds the way I think it does.
I do love the way it looks though.
