I've liked the name for years, though I'd probably never use it. I love the nn Dash. :b I'm also surprised it's not on this site. Even if it's not a "real" name (I'm not sure whether it is or not), Dashiell Hammett is famous enough, I think, to warrant an entry. :)
The only other "people" I've heard it on was once years ago, a character on the soap opera "Santa Barbara". And also triplet boys who played one baby on another soap opera (10+ years ago) that were named Alex, Max & Dash. :)

Well, like I said, I submitted it. I'd imagine it showing up in four places... and apparantly as someone's best friend... would warrant it being called a "real name".
Plus, again, BabyNames has it. Does this site really want to NOT have a name that's on their rival site? XD;; I've submitted it; I bet it'll go up... sometime... ^_^
