Nickname
My middle name is my mother's maiden name, but my mn would have been Katherine if they hadn't chosen to use my mother's maiden name. So the question is, do you think it's okay to go by Katherine or a nn for it as if it was my mn, even though it's not?
Also can you come up with any nn's from Anna Katherine?
What are your favorite nn's for Anna?
What are your favorites for Katherine?
Thanks in advance.

IMO, a nickname can be anything you want. If you want to go by Bunnykins or Ball-o-fire, I really don't care as it's totally your choice, and not something that has any legal status anyway. And going by a name that you might have been called is even more reasonable than Ball-o-fire!
Katherine is a great name and there are so many nn possibilities. I love Katya and Kitty and Kate, or you could even go by Hecate! Anika or Keanna could be Anna - Katherine smooshings.

I like KAtya quite a lot, Thank You.
I actually prefer Anna as a nn for Annalise, Annabelle or other Anna names.
Katherine I don't really like nns for at all. I can't stand Kathy.
