I like it, but it wouldn't be something I would use. It is just one of the numerous forms of John I like.

Depends on the pronunciation. If its Jan (like jam with an n) then I think its feminine, however, if its prn Yahn I absolutely adore it.

I think a lot of people (in the US anyway) would try to pronounce it JANN, like the feminine nicknames for Janet, Janelle, etc, rather than YAHN. But one simple correction would do the trick. I love it, and I prefer it to similar alternatives like Johan or Johannes.

Jan is nice name for a boy. And nickname Janko is beautiful :-))

I'm not too keen on the name. I have only known women with this name anyway so it seems strange to me on a boy.

I dislike it for either gender, unless it's a nn for January. However, it would be nice to see on a boy.
