I just recently found out I'm having triplets, and... (Edit)
I want you all to help me name them! Chris hasn't been much help, other than telling me every name he hates. So far, the only names he's suggested are Mileah (MILL-ee-ah), Logan and Wade (as a middle name). I'm not a fan of Wade, but Logan's pretty cute. Mileah is a little strange. Oh yeah, we're having two boys and one girl. Can you believe it?! I hardly can...The names I've been fond of so far are Lucas, Anne and Daniel.Help please? I don't care what names you use, but please be reasonable. (Nothing like Forest or Rainbow... I'm not putting my children through that.)Thanks!**edit: What I meant by putting my children through that is that they will get teased. I even get teased with the name Rebecca. Those names are just not to my liking. I'm sorry if it offended anyone.

Anne is not so bad, but I hate the names Lucas and Daniel. For some reason, Wesley, Lucien, and Anne doesn't seem bad to me. *shrugs*

Lucas, Anne & Daniel would be perfect as FNs for the triplets!

If you don't want your children to be teased for having strange names I wouldn't use Mileah. If you hadn't put in the pronounciation, I would have pronounced it differently, as my-lee-ah. So other people might have trouble knowing how to pronounce it as well. Just a thought...
Logan - trendy-ish but not horrible
Wade - dated in my opinion, I wouldn't use it as a first name
Lucas - ok, also like Luca for a girl
Anne - a little bland, prefer Anna or Anastasia
Daniel - okAnyway, here are some suggestions:Aaron

My initial thought was "Why me?!"...Such a scary thing to be told during your first pregnancy... I'm still terrified that one of them might not make it, or that even I might not make it... But I'm praying that at the end of this ordeal, I'll have three perfectly healthy children keeping me up at night and wearing me out. :)I like/love:
Quinn (too feminine though, IMO)Adelaide
Alice
Daphne
Eleanor
Jane
Lucia
Margaret

I like Quinn and find it quite masculine

I must agree, extremely unusual

Not only...(m)Not only unusual for her age, but boys in multiple cases are much more rare than girls...so, if you end up actually having two boys you can consider yourself even luckier!

Miliah does not look like a name to me. If you want 'normal' names, don't go with that one.I like Logan and Wade. Perhaps You and DH could split up naming responsibilities. you could each take 3 names. Also, print out the top 100 or 1000 names for the US and have him mark ones he likes.

That's a great idea! Thanks.
Yeah, I most definitely am not going with Mileah. My husband already had a daughter that he named (with ex-wife, two years before I met him), I'm naming the next one. :)

Hmm. Your style seems to be traditional. Chris' style is more off-the-beaten-track. A good compromise are traditional names not normally used. How about:Celia, Lilith, Carys, Melina, Eliane, Viveca, Evelina, Laurel (a twist on Laura);Matthias, Rhys, Kester, Carsten / Karsten, Pascal, Roland, Gareth, Morgan, Callum, Rowan, Finn, Cormac, Ronan, Rory, Jonah, Judah, Asa, Simon, Noel, Aubrey, Roman, Magnus, Galen, Elias, Lysander, Sander, Rex, Ansel, Blaise, Alban, Lachlan, Gavin.Good luck!

Wow, triplets!Lucas, Anne, and Daniel are fine, but Daniel may be often shortened to Dan, which rhymes with Anne. I've never heard of Mileah, but I like Wade quite a bit, and Logan is fine with me. What you have so far is a very nice start! Some others that may interest you:

Wow, congratulations!Mileah's pretty cute actually. I would spell it differently, because my first instinct is my-LEE-ah. What's the story behind it? "putting your children through that" with names like Forest & Rainbow, putting them through what exactly teasing? I don't see them being teased that much for names such as that [I am considering both names for my future kids :)] I have been teased for my own name, but I feel kids will grow out of it evenutally. To each their own though :).Jackson
Caden
WyattSavannah
Ruby
Susannahsome "normal" names from my own list:
Addison - boy
Avery - boy
Charlotte
Nancy
Anne Marie

Please don't be bitter about what I said about "Rainbow" and "Forest"... I didn't mean for it to be offensive. It's just my opinion, and I'm a little peeved that you got a bit rude about it.Jackson - Love it, but my cousin used it on her child :(
Caden - We were going with this until my husband's ex-wife
Wyatt - Not my style..Savannah - Cute!
Ruby - Like it, wouldn't use it.
Susannah - Prefer SavannahAddison - Too feminine
Avery - Cute! It's my cousin's middle name.
Charlotte - Love it!
Nancy - Too old-fashioned, in my opinion.
Anne Marie - Lovely.
Norman - Not my style.
Peter - Not my style.
Hermione - I can hear the Harry Potter jokes now.
Caspian - Cute! It reminds me of Jasper, which I love.

I didn't mean to sound snarky, I just wasn't quite sure when you said "put them through that" I assumed teasing. :).It's not a huge deal, I just get kind of sad/irritated that people think my kids will be tortured, and I'm nots for using names like that, LOL. Congrats by the way. Maybe you'd also love these [just to let you know Charlotte is my first future daugthers name :)]:Some others on my list:
Iris
Ivy
Hayden - boy (like on a girl as well)
Hunter - girl
Tobias - mn
Elijah - mn
Eden - mn
Michael
Barrett - mn
Agnes - mn

I'm sorry, I got a bit heated during that. Lol I don't think your kids will necessarily be tortured, but with any name (even with something as simple as Anne), teasing is to be insued. "Antsy Anne" or other silly things will come along.I love these;
Iris
Ivy
Hunter - (on a boy)

It's a valid concern. She may not have worded it in the best way possible, but kids do get teased for having different names. In a class full of Emmas, Emilys and Isabellas - little Rainbow would feel a bit odd.Completely my opinion, i know. But All she was saying was that she liked more popular and less "out there" names.Oh, and i don't see Susannah as weird. Probably because that's my sisters name......
vote up1
Rainbow might be teased with "hippie"
vote up1
Your right they can get teased for having unusual or different names, (I was one, lol). I just think she could have worded it better. :).I don't think Susannah is weird either, did she ask for more unusal names or just anything?
vote up1
Sorry. I thought the first list was your examples of names that you thought she'd think were weird. Oops.

I'm sorry for the way I worded it. I'm not a fan of 'trendy' names, or of names like Apple, Rainbow, Rain...I'm game for anything, but I even got teased with the name Rebecca. I don't want any of my kids to look at me and be like, "You named me ----?! What the heck were you thinking, mom?!"

Congratulations! Lucas, Logan and Anne are nice. You might go to nymbler.com and see what names it comes up with to match the ones you like. There might be some that you and your husband can agree on. ;) Do you like Cade? I personally think it's a little better than Wade, but it still has the same general sound, so he might like it. Or Jade, for the girl. If I were to name the triplets myself not using the names you have suggested, I would choose...
Nicholas Cade ("Cole", "Nick/Nicky")
Jackson David ("Jack")
Ella Genevieve ("Ellie/Elle")
vote up1
Thank you for the congrats and the reference!Jade is such a beautiful name, I've liked it since I was young. It's definitely something I'll consider.I love Jackson, but my cousin just used it on her baby (he's about five months old now)! Jackson Alexander. He is such a sweet one.Ella is so cute! I can't believe I didn't think of that..As for David and Genevieve, I don't like them too much.My husband thinks Cade is too close to Aiden, which is his ex-wife's son. Go figure. Wade is his best friend's middle name, so he wants it to be the middle name of one of our kids.
