While reading the papaer yesterday I read of very unusual sisters. The sisters were born by caesarean section on the same day; but they were not twins. They were conceived three days apart. This is obviously very rare, and it was something like 4 million to one odds of it happening. Anyway...The mother of the girls is called Amelia.
She named the sisters 'Ame' and 'Lia', after the first and last part of her own name. I think the names sound horrible together. What do you think?

Guess there was no father involved? LOL. Ack, they could've actually had two different fathers. :-/ What is Ame? Does it sound like Amy or the word "aim", I wonder. Ridiculous. What if I named my kids Hea & Ther? :b

Interesting story, but I agree with LMS, it is slightly egoistical on her part. Lia is nice enough, but Ame?
If she wanted to split, why didn't she name one Amelia and the other (say her middle name is Anne) Anne? Or if she didn't have a mn, then another family name?

A bit egotistical on the mothers part

It´s awful. She had a small fantasy :-((Lia - nice but I prefer Liana or Liena :)

Interesting case; bad names. :)(

I think that's pretty awful. Reminds me of a high school friend of mine whose favourite name was Pamela, and to be original wanted to name her future daughters Pam and Ela... But she was 15 at the time, and I hope that more than 10 years later, her taste has changed...

I think the sentiment behind the names are nice BUT I would feel jipped! I want a full name!

Yep, horrible.Amy and Lia would have been marginally better. Or even Amy and Leah or Aimee and Leah.
