Aura?
Sorry, I just can't help it. This is a new favorite. Aura... What do you think?
Unfortunately this name has Star Wars connections. Aurra Sing is a ruthless bounty hunter. If you weren't a Star Wars fan-- or were, would you notice this?
Thanks!
ETA: Same thing with Star Wars again. I like the name Ayla, spelled Aayla. This is a Star Wars spelling, would you notice this?

I'm a Star Wars fan, I've seen all of the movies multiple times and have read a couple of the spin-off books as well, and Aurra Sing isn't a name I'd particularly taken note of. So I think even Star Wars fans wouldn't make a connection between Aura and Star Wars.
I don't like Aayla or Ayla - the "Clan of the Cave Bear" association is too much for me.

I think it is pretty. I prefer Aurora and Aurelia though. Ayla is pretty as well. I prefer teh Ayla spelling IMO.
I really dislike this as a name, but I'm not big on unusual word names in general (or Star Wars names, for that matter--but that's a personal issue of mine, LOL). It also sounds too much like Aurora, which I dislike, and the word "oral", esp. if her mn or ln started with an L. :-/
I have never heard of Aurra or Aayla relating to Star Wars, so I definitely wouldn't 'notice' it, no. But both have that sci-fi air about them, either way. I like Isla (EYE-lah) this spelling only. Ayla looks like AY-lah (long a + lah) to me, but it can be said either way, I'm sure. I just don't care for the look of it at all, but it's miles better than Aayla, imo.

Hmm....
I don't immediately think of Star Wars (but then again, I'm not the biggest Star Wars fan). I like how it looks, but I'm not crazy about the sound. I guess I prefer Audra :-/

I am not a huge Starwars fan.. but I LOVE Aura. If DS was a girl, we thought about naming "her" Aura.
