I agree with you about themes and similar names, but I don't think they have to especially go well with each other. It's true that they'll be "X and Y" more than the average sibset, but I still think you should go with names you love even if they're not the same style. The hidden etymology idea is cool, but they would still have to be names I love. I wouldn't sacrifice on that just to have the connection. Using your example, it would be cute to have the connection, but I dislike both names, so it wouldn't be worth it. I'd rather use two unconnected names I love. As a twin, I can tell you -- they'll have enough other "connections" that it probably won't matter.
