Edward / Eduard
I've loved Edward for a long time, and lately it's been really coming back to me. I might be preferring the spelling Eduard though - wdyt? Also, I don't like the nn Ed or Eddie at all. Do you think Edward or Eduard could ever hold up with out a nn?Combo suggestions for first or middle names greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. :D

I'd only advocate the Eduard spelling if it's a family name or part of your heritage, etc. Otherwise, it's just confusing. He'll always have to say 'It's Edward, with a U instead of a W.' Maybe because Edward is such a well-known name, and 'everyone' knows how to spell it. I don't care for Ed or Eddie, either, but I love Ned, Ted, and Teddy. Speaking of Ed- names, I prefer Edmund to Edward, but both are nice.

I love Edward - its a classic. I know a guy called Edward and he never shortened his name and never had a nn at school. Its beautiful!

How about Ned, Ted or Teddy? I think Edward can stand on it's own though.
I personally prefer Edward, as it would be less complicated by not having to correct people all the time, but Eduard is perfectly fine.Edward Miles
Edward James
Edward Lysander
Edward Stanley (always thought that was a great combo)
Edward Harvey
Edward Peter
