LOR-in
I've noticed this same difference in prn with Laura, too. Some people say LAW-ruh, others LOR-uh. To me, LAW-ruh is spelt Lara and LOR-uh is spelt Laura. Too bad there's not a different spelling for LAW-rin. :o)

It's said LOR-en, in my area at least. I think it's okay said that way.
ditto.
Well, I don't like the name at all
But definitely LOR-en. LAW-ren sounds ridiculous to me.

this may be a clearer description of what Dr.Pepper was asking: LAR-in (the Lar as in Lars) and LOR-in (with the Lor as in lore or low). So they would sound as if they were spelt Larrin or Lauren. And even with my feeble attempt at explanation, they two may still sound exactly the same in your accent. :o)

LOR-in. LAW-rin is really difficult to say in my accent, and it would sound nose-in-the-air around here.
