Mallory

A co-worker and her husband just named their daughter Mallory Grace (she has a half sister named Teagan). Mallory is actually better than most of the names my co-worker mentioned liking (Addison, Aspen, etc.) but it's just very surname-y, preppy, 1980s, "Family Ties" to me. Not horrible but outdated and not so fabulous, IMO.

I like it. It really takes me back to my Baby Sitters Club reading days.
I think of a duck.

I have always liked Mallory. Despite what others think, the meaning has no effect on my liking of the name. How many people actually know what there names mean?
its too surnamey for me and the meaning really puts me off it.
It's my cousin's daughter's name. I like it, I just probably wouldn't use it because of its meaning.
It's a nice sounding name, but it has a not-so-nice meaning.
Given that it is derived from a surname that means 'unfortunate', I would not want to use it for my child.
I don't think I like it.
I like it but prefer Melody
I go through periods of liking it and being neutral towards it. I think right now, I like it.
