Re: Mara

I think it's lovely. It would be nice as either a fn or mn, but I tend to think of it in the fn position. A similar (maybe just to me) name that I also love is Miriam. The only Mara I know pronounces her name MARE-a, and it's actually short for Marazona (I have no idea where her parents got that one). I also like it by itself or as a nn for Margaret. A long list of ideas:
Mara Louise or Mara Louisa
Mara Gabriella
Mara Estrella
Mara Violet or Mara Viola
Mara Lucinda
Mara Hope
Mara Ruth
Mara Noelle
Mara Celeste
Mara Abigail
Mara Eleanor
Mara Faith
Mara June
Mara Lorraine
Mara Rachel
Mara Gwyneth
Mara Sarai
Mara Truth
Mara Evelyn
Mara Elisha
Mara Bronwen
Mara Elspeth
Mara Elisheva
Mara Hermione
Mara Guinevere
Mara Bridget
Mara Cadence
Mara Catherine
Mara Catrin
Mara Katarina
Mara Cecilia or Mara Cecily
Mara Clare
Mara Chloe
Mara Constance
Mara Liberty
Mara Judith or Mara Juliet
Mara Keturah
Mara Lavender
Mara Josephine
Mara Joy
Mara Danielle
Mara Elisabeth
Mara Delaney
Mara Elaine
Mara Evangeline
Mara Helen
Mara Felicity
Mara Victoria
Mara Irene
Mara Lillian
Mara Remembrance
Mara Olivia
Mara Natalia
Mara Verity
Mara Rebekah
Mara Damaris
Elisabeth Mara
Cecily Mara
Victoria Mara
Katherine Mara
Lillian Mara
Judith Mara
Josephine Mara
Caroline Mara
Evelyn Mara
Gwyneth Mara
Abigail Mara
Eleanor Mara
if used as a mn, it seems to go better with a fn that doesn't end in -a.
