Eloise
WDYT? Does it age well, or is it too little kiddish or old lady? Do you think Lois could work as a nn for this, or does that stand better on its own? Do you like the spelling Aloise, or is it icky krei8tyv?
WDYTO this sibset? They're all old-ish names.
Eloise
Frederick
Finley
Ewan

It makes me think of an older lady, only because it's my aunt's name. I disliked it for a long time (mostly due to her...she's nice enough, but very high & mighty too :-/) but now I think it's fabulous and would love to meet a little Eloise. I also think of the character in the children's books, so I can definitely picture it on a little girl. I don't care that much for Lois in general, but I don't see why it couldn't be a nn for it. I'd prefer Ellie or Ella or even Louise (or Lou or Lulu). :)

I really like the name Eloise. For a nickname, I'm thinking either Ellie or Lise (I know, it'd be a better nickname for Elise, but Eloise isn't much different)

Love Eloise. Hate Aloise. I suppose Lois could work, but I don't really like it. The sibset is nice. I love all names, but like Ewan less than the others (my son is named Finley).

I love the name Eloise. I don't like the NN Lois, but prefer Ellie. For the sibset - I like Eloise and Finley, but not Frederick and Ewan. Thanks

I really like Eloise but I don't care for Lois as nn, Elle or Ellie would be much better. Aloise is just too much, why destroy such a classic name with a krei8tyv spelling? The sibset is wounderful.

I absolutly love the name Eloise! I don't think Lois works as a nn. Louise would, but I don't think it needs one, as it's pretty short (El and Ellie would too). The spelling Aloise isn't icky, but I prefer Eloise by a long shot. I'm also a fan of your sibset, though I don't really like the name Ewan in general.

I don't care for the EEZE sound in Eloise.I do like Lois a lot, which is one of my exceptions to the current "the more old-fashioned the better" fad. I think it has a nice sound. And the association with Lois Lane gives it another little kick imo.Frederick and Finley are nice.Ewan is not attractive in my opinion. (Though the actor is, yum!)

I like Eloise. I prefer Aloisia, which isn't related to Eloise but is similar.

I think it is ok, not really my style though. I do know someone with this name that goes by Ellie, so that could be another possible nn.

Eloise is cute, if not a personal fave. The name sounds very young to me, because my first association has to do with the childrens' books about a little girl named Eloise who lives in a hotel (I think that was the premise?). Eloise is much better than Aloise, imo. Frederick is fine, but nms. Finley is cool and sounds young to me. Ewan is ok, but I prefer Owen, as Ewan looks to me like "eww" and ewe.

I used to hate this but it has grown on me over the last six months or so. I think it ages nicely! I think Lois can work as a nn but I do prefer just Eloise. I prefer the Eloise sp. I think the sibset works nice together.
