I like Kari too. I also love the name Kara. Annika and Danica are cute names too. One of the sweetest people I know is named Kendra so I like that name. Nelson is a family name that has been passed down 4 generations in my dads family. The name came from my ggg grandfather who's real 1st name was Narcisse but was anglicized to Nelson.

actually it is spelt correctly and is not pronounced like Carrie but like (CAR-e) check out its meaning and info
I have several friends with this name (with other spellings like Cari & Kerri). I like it but I wouldn't ever be able to use it because of all of my friends, the association is too strong.

Kari is okay. I know a girl named this who prounces it just like Carrie. She says her mother wanted a "different" spelling of the name. I love Annika, but the rest are nms. I really wouldn't consider any of those names to be unique though. I know tons of girls named Danica and Kaleena (usually with different spellings). Kendra and Nelson are average names too.
