It was actually Victoria's granddaughter (daughter of her second eldest daughter, Alice) that was named Alix. Later on, Alix took the name Alexandra when she married Nikolai of Russia.I love the name. I love the Romanovs and Czarina Alexandra is one of my favourite historical figures, so naturally, Alix holds a sunny, positive connotation for me. Miriam Alix sounds delightful and natural. I like it much better than Miriam Alexandra.
