What's funny is several weeks ago, my dh actually broached the subject of names (he is sooo unwilling to discuss the topic with me) and told me he loves Matilda. I was shocked. I can't say I love the name but I think Tillie is adorable.

Love it. I like the spelling Mathilda though, because I would use the nickname Hildy.

I love Matilda nn Tilly. I'm really picky about this--has to be Tilly as a nn, has to be spelled like that. Mostly because I have a cousin by the name, and she and the name both have always appealed to me so much that I don't like imagining either any other way. :)
