Clairelise?
Just thought it sounded like it might be a neat name. What do you think?

I like a lot of so-called "smushed" combo names. However, not this one so much, I guess because of the l-r-l consonants. It's beyond lilting -- it's a little muddy sounding to me -- and it's ambiguous if it's Claire-Lise or Claire-Elise.I agree that the best similar sound is Clarice. In fact, it might be because of Clarice that Clairelise sounds overwrought.

I think most people would have a hard time pronouncing this name. I know it's just Claire + Elise, but the two names run together looks almost indecipherable. I think the girl would just end up going by Claire, anyway. Claire Elise isn't bad, though.

Clairelise is an actual name. At least, i've met a Klaralise.
Otherwise, I agree with Adelle.

Is better Clarisse or Clarice

No way. Too much (IMO)....

1. Too many vowels.
2. I am not a fan of smushed names.
3. Clare / Claire Elise would be heaps better. As a combo, it's rather pretty.

Also agree.A teacher at my school just had a baby named Elise Claire. I think that's really pretty as well. :)
