This name confuses me a bit--does it sound just like Isla or just like Kayla without the K? :-/ I've heard it both ways. Both ways are pretty, but the multiple pronunciations, spellings, and the "modern" look of the name (even though I'm aware it's not new or made-up at all...just has that 'look' to me; blame the Y, I guess, lol) turn me against it a bit.

I love Ayla and it has been one of my favorites for years. And, coincidentally, as I was scrolling down the message board, I was thinking of this name!

I like Ayla Camille and Ayla Soleil.

I really like Ayla. It used to be on my list, but I prefer Isla, now. The sounds are similar, and I like both. But anyway, thumbs up.

I like Ayla. I like that it's different and yet easy to read and pronounce. It's also pretty sounding to my ears. It probably helps that the Aylas I have known have been nice. :D Though I swap between liking Ayla and Aella.

Ayla seems to be growing on me (maybe because I see it on the board more these days). Ayla Camille and Ayla Michele sound best (combo-wise), but I like Arienne, Emerald and Soleil better as individual names. Ayla Soleil is catchy, although one could argue a bit rhymey.
