I think John is still a strong, substantial name for our times. It will always remind me of the disciple of Jesus. Since then other famous and not-famous people have been named John, so it's a huge namesake name. John will be a popular name forever. For a future son, I've liked the name Xoan Pedro (or Joao Pedro) for a while.
