I also forgot to say that I prefer the spellings Elinor or Elanor. But spell it how you want. I really like the spelling Elanor because it's a type of flower in the Lord of the Rings.---------------------------------------------------------------------

Great name!! Eleanor is feminine and sweet, but yet strong. Lately I've been also really liking the Catalan form Elionor (uh-lee-oo-NOHr), too. It is really old-fashioned and it will probably take a long time to get it back to common use, but it's a classic and I think it would be really cool to have some baby Elionor again. The nn Nor would be nice, imo.

I really love Eleanor (considering as it's my name...) and my favourite nn is Nell (my nn...) I don't really like Ellie, it's ok for a small child but not really as you get older. Elle is a little better, but I still prefer Nell. It is a great name, and you should definitely use it!
