Wallis
Adelle's response to one of my combos in a post below made me wonder--what do you all think of Wallis as a female name? What kind of combos would you make with it either as a first or a middle name?
Personally I like it quite a bit, though I tend to throw it into combos as a middle name. Jane Wallis and Rose Wallis have been the two that I've thought about most; I'm into classic names so I suppose that pairing it with anything along those lines would suit me.
What do you think? Thumbs up, thumbs down, or somewhere in between?

Lol!
Yeah, I can see how a sketchy uncle could totally ruin a name. It's a pity; I like Wallace quite a bit as well.

Wallis doesn't strike me as attractive on anyone, boy or girl. As a middle name, it works just as nicely as any other surname-name, though--which is pretty darned nice. I like surnames in the MN spot (for other people, at least); they're classy.
Jane Wallis and Rose Wallis definitely work. I prefer J. Wallis, since I hear Rose Wallis and think "rose trellis." Which isn't a bad thing, but I suspect it's not quite what you're gunning for.

I think it makes a great MN for a girl or boy
