Dafydd
Opinions on the name Dafydd (dahv-ith)? If used, it would be in the combo John Royce Dafydd LN

The only gay in the village....That's all I can think of. Unless you are Welsh, it's not one to use in Britain. And in the States I reckon everyone would pronounce it wrong. Since it's a middle name that doesn't matter so much. The combo sounds fine but I cannot get excited about yet another John in the world.

I agree. I do like the name in theory but the only gay in the village is all I can think of too. Mind you there was a Dafydd in my class at school and he didn't really get teased because of that. Should be fine as a middle name though.

I like itIt's unlikely that anyone who wasn't either Welsh or a name nerd would know how to spell or pronounce it, but considering that it's a middle name (and a second middle name at that), that concern is pretty much irrelevant. Go for it.

I like it and I think it flows well with the combo.

It looks like you were taking an attempt at David but couldn't remember how to spell it. Sorry, NMS.

I think John Royce David would sound better IMO.

I realize that this is the original form and all, but it does look sort of creative, and I have a hard time getting past the thought of "daffy". I like the sound, though, and I think John Royce Dafydd has a good flow.

I might like it if it didn't look so much like a kre8tyv form of David. Sorry.
