A girl named....?
Aubrey?? What do you think of the name Aubrey for a girl. I think it is a beautiful unisex name. I don't care to much for boys names on girls but I am so used to this name as a unisex name that I am really starting to like it for a girl.
What is your opinion on the name Aubrey??

Lovely on a girl, fine on a boy.
The only Aubrey I know is a darling, sweet four-year-old girl nicknamed Bree, so the name automatically sounds very feminine to me. I like it much better than Audrey, mostly because it's less common, at least here, and I have bad associations for Audrey. I think it's lovely for a girl, though I think it would be fine for a boy as well, since it's traditionally masculine. I like it because it sounds up-to-date, but also has a history.
PS- I take back only knowing one Aubrey. I just remembered that I know another Aubree, nn Bree, but she is an 18-year-old girl, so that just reinforces the feminine feeling to me.

Aubrey for a girl seems somewhat unisex and masculine, popular and trendy. For a boy, it seems masculine, uncommon, dignified, elegant.
I only like the name Aubrey for a girl. It seems so much more feminine than masculine imo.
I love the name Aubrey, it's one of my favorite boys' names. Definitely boys' name though.
I have only heard it on a girl, and I love it. Could be because the little girl I used to babysit named Aubrey was adorable and the name really suited her.
Horrible for a girl, lovely for a boy
I like Audrey much better for a girl. Something about that "b" just makes it sound so masculine.
I love the name Aubrey for a boy - it's the FN of Aubrey Beardsley, one of my favourite artists - but I absolutely detest it on a girl. I hate to see it used on a girl because that makes more and more people start considering it "too girly" for a boy and then yet another brilliant and handsome boy name is lost. Plus, I don't find it the slightest bit feminine to begin with.
I always think of the artist Aubrey Beardsley when I hear this name. (Do check out his art if you arent familiar with it because it's great.) For that reason, I have a positive association with this name on a boy. On a girl, it seems to lose that context for me.
To me, Aubrey seems trendy as a girl's name but sort of old-fashioned for a boy's name. I prefer old-fashioned names to trendy names. But either way, the sound of the name is quite nice and (in my opinion) would work well for either gender in that regard.

I love the combo Aubrey Anatolia.
Aubrey has never been popular in Scotland on either sex, and I think it's fine on either gender too. It sounds quite classic to me either way.

I have only ever heard it as a girl name. It's not bad, but I certainly prefer Audrey.
