Sounds nice, good connotations, as LadyBug said, but it would have to grow on me. I would probably only use as a mn. Although at first glance, it seemed like a feminine name, I think it would be fine as a masculine name also. I have no idea what kind of names you're looking for to go with it, though, and no incredible combos just popped into my head.

I don't care for it, but it reminds me of a true story I read in a magazine once about a boy (back in the old days) whose name was Psalm, pronounced Pizalem b/c his parents didn't know any better! :)

Proverb is rather nice and has great connotations but I don't think it would sound that well on a boy, somehow it seems more feminine than masculine so I think it would sound best on a girl. I can't think of any first names right now or any middle names for that matter.
