interesting responces. they are actually my childrens names, but was interested to see what ppl thought of them! u know, intrigue and all that!
decided on ryan as it means little king and my husbands name means king. and sophie because ive loved this name since i was little...shame its so popular now, but just shows how lovely it is! although have to say...i wanted sophia but hubby said NO lol!
anyway, thanks for your opinions!

I think they work really well as sibling names. I like both of them.
I think they sound nice together, and I like Sophie, but definitely prefer Sophia, nn. Sophie, so that she's not stuck with a cutesy nn all her life.
I don't think I would call them "distinguished" though, as both are rather common, at least here.

I love the name Sophie, but am not crazy about Ryan.
