I'm not in love with Danica and though I like the sound of Damhnait (though I've never seen it before today), the spelling would not be a good idea in most English speaking areas, IMO. Looks too much like "damn hate" or "damn, Nate" [or "damn, (you) ate (that)" LOL]. :-/

In those spellings, I prefer Danica, at least in the context of the USA.However, I probably would prefer a phonetic respelling of Damhnait that Americans could handle better, such as Devnet or Davnit, to Danica.

I prefer Danica because I dislike (greatly) the look of Damhnait.

I like the sound of Damhnait a lot, but it just looks like "damn Nate". I hate Danica, but it gets my vote because "damn Nate" is not the greatest thing to have in a name.

DanicaDamhnait initially makes me think "damn it."

I much prefer Danica. However, reading Array's post, I have to agree with her on Damhnait (Devnet is much better, but the sound is still a little weird to me, probably because I've never heard of it before).

I far prefer the sound of Damhnait, but I only like it spelled Devnet (Damhnait makes want to say "damn it," heh). I dislike Danica immensely.Array

Yep.

I agree; when I saw Damhnait I thought of "damn it" or "damnation." Also, I never would have figured out the correct pronunciation from the spelling.I do like Danica, however.
