I like it. It's not something I would ever personally use but I definitely can appreciate it on someone else.
I would never use it. Wolf and gang? Neither is a particularly pleasant association, and I'm simply not crazy about the name anyway. Besides which, I'm afraid of the teasing a child would undergo for having this name.
It's too weird for me.
I prefer Wolfram.
Wolfgang, despite its connection to Mozart, has a bit of a silly sound to it, to my American ears. I don't know why. Wolfram, on the other hand, sounds much more dignified. You can still get the nn Wolf / Wolfe / Wolfie out of it. And for literary geeks / fans of chivalric poetry / tales of the round table, Wolfram von Eschenbach is a great way to read your little Wolfie to sleep at night.

Ditto.
I like it too! I recently read a historical fiction work about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's sister Nannerl and in the book his sister always called him Wolfie which I thought was so cute! I don't know if Wolfgang would work very well in the USA as people will probably mispronounce it and tease. But I really life it and it's the type of name that I would use for a pet or story character but not really for a child unless I was very brave or it honored family. I would use Amadeus though. :)
ditto on Amadeus! I actually have a friend w/ this mn.
Oh, yes. I second the idea of using Amadeus, or Amadea for a girl.
I do too, but I think it would have to to be a middle name-
its just a little too odd otherwise!
