The sound isn't too bad, but the overwhelming association for me concerns booze, not just moderation or restraint in general. It's not a very flattering train of thought.

LOL :) And when my mom told me that name, she said she heard it on the television show Bones. So now whenever watching that show I'll think of it LOL.

I first took note of the name in Kathy Reichs' mystery series, on which the tv show Bones is based. :o) In the books, Temperance's nn is Tempe (like Tempe, Arizona).
