Evelia.
Evelia, pronounced EE-vel-ya or evah-LEE-ah. Just the name of some girl in my Spanish textbook.
I really like it. Opinions?

Evelia is a pretty name :-) I pronounce it "eh vehl yah". I also like the similar Evangelia.

I was thinking it was pronounced ee-VEEL-ee-ah, which I kind of like. I do prefer just Eve, Eva, or Lia, though.

I don't like it at all.

I'm sure it's great in Spanish, and it would be great in English too, but unfortunately all I hear is "evil".

Actually it would be pronounced in between eh-veh-LEE-ah and ay-vay-LEE-ah. All vowels are soft in spanish. The e sounds kind of like eh and ay.And yes I like it.

Also evah-LEE-ah would be spelled Evalia. And I'm guessing that EE-vel-yah is the english way of saying it. I don't like the english pronunciation, I like the spanish one. With the english prn I hear evil.
