Karsten
WDYTO Karsten for a boy?On here it says that Karsten is a form of Christian. Would it matter that my cousins child is called Christian? BTW we are not very close. Also, can you think of any good combos? Thanks.

Even though Karsten is a form of Christian, I don't think they are too close, esp. if you don't see your cousin or his/her child a lot, etc. I really like Karsten for a boy, but I worry a bit that people would butcher the name and think it's Kirsten or Kristen. :-/

I think using it is just fine, but it says girl name to me, as it looks like Kirsten, and I know a family of girls named Ramsey, Karsen, Avery, and Peyton. It's nice enough, but I think I would prefer Carsten, as it looks less trendy.

I really like it, but spelt Carsten. I don't think it matters that your cousin's child is Christian. Only a namenerd would even know the two names are related, and if you aren't close to your cousin, frankly it wouldn't matter if you gave your child the same name in most cases.

Yes, I also prefer the Carsten spelling. But I have something against K names in general for some reason. :b

Karsten is NMS it makes me think of Kristen for a girl. But I don't think it matters that you have a Christian in the family. You can still use it anyways because I don't think a lot of people would know that Karsten is a form of Christian unless they looked it up. So Id say your safe with that :)
