Well, since you asked... :)I have a list:Don't like:
Eliza (too harsh)
Elisa
Liza
Lisa (a little dated to me)
Betty
Betsy (this one is ok, I guess)
Elsa
Bess
Bessy/Bessie (sounds like a cow to me, no offense intended)Like (starred are faves):
Beth (in certain cases, sounds shy to me)
Liz*
Lisbet/Lisbeth*
Lissa
Lissie/Lissy*
Bet
Lizzie
Ellie*
Ella
Elle
Lisabet
Liss/Lyss
Elsie
Libby*Yet much like LM Montgomery's character (can't remember which book off the top of my head), if Elizabeth was my name, I think my nn would change from day to day depending on my mood. Some days I feel like a Lizzy, and some days, I'm just a Beth. :)

I like Ellie, Ella, Lizzy, Beth, Bess and Libby....(m)but I can't stand Eliza, Betsy or Betty, either as nn's or names on their own. The sounds of them just doesn't appeal to me.I love Elsa and Elsie, but I'd rather them as names on their own. They do work as nn's though. I also much prefer Ella on its own, but I love it so much I'll take it any way it comes...lol.

I like Ellie for all ages, but mostly younger.
I really like Liz but not on a young girl - it seems too grown-up and elegant.

I love Beth. If I had an Elizabeth, I would call her Beth mostly and then sometimes Lizzy (Pride and Prejudice fan) :)Random fact: My fn was almost Elizabeth, nn Beth.

I love Beth. I love Beth more than I like Elizabeth, even...if I didn't like so many other names more, I would consider naming my child just Beth, or possibly Elisabeth with the constant nn Beth.Elsie and Elsa are also very pretty.

I like Eliza, Liza, Beth, and Betty.
I think Ellie is ok, but might be mistaken for Eleanor or Eleanora.
I just flat out don't like Ella.

I love this name, though I much prefer it spelled Elisabeth (one of my top three faves). My favorite nicknames are definitely Ella and Ellie. I don't mind Elise, Elsie, Beth, Lily, Lily-Beth, Ella-Beth, or Ellie-Beth. I don't like Liz, Lizzie, or Eliza at all.

BetsyI'd use Betsy, if for some reason I had to name a daughter Elizabeth. I think it's spunky and retro-cool.

I like Lizzie / Liz, Ellie, and Betty. But even though it's close to inevitable, I prefer Elizabeth with no nickname.

I like Ellie, Elsie and Beth. Although Lizzie is not bad.

I think Ella is cute, but I don't care for the others you mentioned. I hate Liz and Lizzie, too. My own favorite is Eliza. It's spunky.
