Aisling- glad to see someone else who likes this sp.!
Brigh- how is this pron.? Bree?
Cait- cute, whether or not its really Irish. I don't like using nns for first names, but this is a lovely alt. to Kate (which I also like)
Ciara- ok, nms
Boys
Cairbre- pron?
Colm- ok
Ryan- nice
I also like Aoibheann, Alanna, Bridget, Erin, Kennedy, Maeve, and Shannon(I'm sure I'll think of more later) and
Alastair, Connor, Duncan, Neil and Patrick, though I'm sure some of these aren't really Irish either, that's the feel they give me.
No combos flowing through my head at the moment, but no, it would not be weird to have an English kid w/ an Irish name.

Re:I adore Cait and Ryan , and you could try Brianna and Brian
1. What do you think of these Irish names?
Girls
Aisling I adore this. But only pr ASH-ling (the way Dubliners say it)
Brigh Also really like this, but I've had many comments on it sounding exactly like the cheese - Brie. Which it does =(
Cait Dull, and without much class or sophistication, in my opinion.
Ciara Nice, but sounds like Cara mispronounced to my ears
Boys
Cairbre Only really sounds nice if said with an Irish accent. Otherwise it is turned into "CAR-bra" by American(ish) sounding people. Which isn't really the name.
Colm Lovely
Ryan Nice, but a little safe.
2. Are there any other Irish names that you like? Check out my profile
