Gabriel / Julian
Between Gabriel and Julian which boy name do you like better?

Both are nice but I slightly prefer Julian
Both are gorgeous, but Gabriel gets my vote.

Gabriel
Julian by far
Gabriel
I love both, but I am more likely to actually use Gabriel.

I do like both names. Both have a soft sound which is very attractive to me. I prefer Julian because Gabriel feels like it has had its time. Julian is so classy and although it has caught on here on the board I don't regard it as overly popular. You could use both in a sibset because the softer sounds complement one another.

Gabriel. I just can't get behind Julian. It seems a little effeminate to me, probably because there is a very effeminate comedian here called Julian Clary. I don't even think he is funny. I far prefer Julia or Juliet on a girl to Julian on a boy. On the other hand Gabriel seems strong and I have good associations with it.
Gabriel. It's more unusual where I live, and I find Julian too upper-class / affected sounding.
ETA: Neither Gabriel nor Julian is top 100 in Scotland, but there are several men in the public eye called Julian, whereas none come to mind with the name Gabriel.

it would of be really great to have twin boys called Julian and Gabriel, don't you think :-)
Julian
I like both, but I like Gabriel better.
I personally prefer Gabriel by a lot, for no particularly good reasons.
