I like all of them, but I'm partial to just Katie.:)

This is probably one of the most overused names of the last 25 years. I'm so over it it's not even funny. :( I slightly prefer Catherine but I'd rather not see it again in any form any time soon. Forced to choose, however, I'd go with Katherine nn Kate. I dislike the nn's as full names, and I greatly dislike Katie.

I adore the name Kate, and Katie. However, Kate, and Katie sound to short for a first name.

ditto exactly.

Katherine with nn Kate or just Kate, maybe with nn Katie?I like Katie as a full name but not as much as Kate. Also, I tend to prefer Kate as a nn for Kathleen with Cate as a nn for Catherine. Then, Kathryn or Katarina....pretty much, I adore any of the Kate names. Out of your list though, Katherine nn Kate or just Kate :)

Katherine and nickname Kate, Kathy. I prefer more Katerina.

My FN is Kate... and it's suited me fine for nearly 16 years. I like Katherine though, and also Kathryn (if not more than Katherine/Katharine). There's too many Katherines with the NN Katie in my area, so I'd go with Katherine, NN Kate.

Katherine (prefer Catherine) with the nn Katie.

Katherine with the nickname Kate is my favorite. Katie is a cute nickname too but so overdone. Kate is borderline as a full name. Katie is MUCH too cutesy and babyish for a given name.

Katherine with the nn Kate, or just Kate. If just Katherine, I prefer it with a C.

Well, as the mother of a Katherine who was at first a Katie and then a Kate because she felt Katie was a bit juvenile, I say Katherine with the nn Kate is the way to go. And while I can't imagine my daughter being called anything else, I think it's time to give this name a rest (unless you don't mind her being one of many). ;-)

I like Katherine, with no nn and Kate just as a name.

I prefer Katherine with no nn. If there has to be one I'm leaning towards Katie, though I almost feel the name about Kate. I don't care for either nn without the fullname.

Katherine and KateAlthough I perfer Kathryn.

I don't really like the nn Katie for some reason, I just prefer Kate. I think Katherine is beautiful, timeless and looks more complete than both those nns on their own.

hmm the only Katie I know is a goth, and bizarrely it suits her.
I'd go with Katherine, and see what nn suits her. You never know, she may be a Rin or Kathy, or Kitty, or any of the other nn's that come with Katherine.

I prefer just Kate.

Katherine with the nn Kate. I love both Katherine(so much history behind it) and Kate.Katie sets my teeth on edge - it's too cutsie and way too popular here.

I think Kate and Katie are incomplete on their own; I prefer them as NNs. That being said, I don't really like Katie at all, so I'd use Kate if I had to pick one. Overall, I think it's a bit overused. I like Katherine without a NN.

I like Katherine with both the nn Katie and Kate. Katie and Kate are both fine on their own aswell.

I like Katherine just because your child can choose between all three. Katherine is very grown up sounding, Katie is great for childhood, and Kate is like the in between name for Katie and Katherine.

I like Katherine with both nicknames or Katie as a given name.

Katherine with nn Kate. I cannot stand Katie, it's so cutesy/sickly and does not age well at all, even onyou, Mrs. Cruise and Ms. Couric. lol
