Cash
WDYT of Cash as a middle name for a boy? My brother and his partner are thinking of using it as a middle name if they have another boy - a brother for Grayson Leo.Opinions and any first name suggestions (that fit with Grayson and sound good with Cash!) appreciated :-)

Cash is okay only as a mn and only because it is in honor of Johnny Cash! Otherwise, the first thing it reminds me of is money.Eli Cash
William Cash
Lionel Cash
Henry Cash
Arthur Cash
Holden Cash (Okay, I just typed that and then read it and I'm vetoing it right now but I'm leaving it here anyway just because it amuses me. Holden Cash? What is he, a bank teller?)

I love Cash...I love Cash, mostly because it is my mother's maiden name. My mother has five sisters and their only brother passed away before having kids, so there has been no one to pass the surname on. I have been back and forth about using it, because it DOES sound a little strange unless you know that it is a family name. It's not like I could go around constantly saying, "This is little ____ Cash and Cash is after my mother". To use or not to use? I'll be interested to see the responses here!

I think Cash would be an okay middle name especially if it's in honor of Johnny Cash. :-)

Everett
Holden

Thanks for the suggestions! Benjamin Cash sounds really nice, and I also like Anthony, Harlan, Logan and Reid (I also love the name Roman, but Roman Cash sounds a bit like I'm saying 'roamin' cash' or something, lol). I'll pass these on!

Since it is to honor Johnny Cash, and it's as a mn, I'm all for it. :) Grayson Leo is a nice combo, btw. Here are some ideas:
Trenton Cash
Tobin / Tobias Cash
Lucas Cash
Ellis Cash
Brody Cash
Brennan Cash
Rowan Cash
Truman Cash
Weston Cash
Everett Cash
Emmett Cash
Henry Cash
Trevor Cash
Quentin Cash
Duncan Cash
Dorian Cash

Thank you! I really like Everett Cash, and Henry Cash sounds great too. Ellis would also fit nicely with Grayson, IMO. I'll have to pass these on :-)

I think it's and OK middle name, but it's not my favorite. I like Andru or Andrew for a first name, and it fits with Cash.

Um . . . no, I'm not a fan. Sorry. Unless it's to honor Johnny or for an equally excellent reason, I really can't get behind such a materialistic name. I am combo-less right now.

I'm not sure I'd call the name "materialistic," since its origins as a name have nothing to do with money. It's a legit surname, which makes it okay for the middle name slot, IMO. (Although I do agree that it's better if it honors Johnny Cash or is a family name.)

Ditto, and...(m)If it is for Johnny Cash, give the boy the initials JR and call it a day. ;)Array

It actually is to honour Johnny :-) My brother builds guitars, and loves music in general - Grayson's middle name, Leo, was after some guitar guy that James idolises (I think Leo Stratocastor or something like that? The guy that help design the Fendor Stratocastor guitar? I probably spelt that wrong...)If they didn't use Cash, they would likely use another music-oriented middle name. I'm not sure what else they have in mind though!
