I prefer Rowan slightly. Actually - and this is unusual for me - it's the meaning that makes the difference. Roman reminds me of ancient Rome, which is a cool association but a little bit chilly and butch for my taste, compared to naturey tree name Rowan.

I like both names though. They're both a little on the "trendy" side, but both are quite "classy" to me too.
