Midori DOES mean "green" in Japanese. It IS used as a girl name in Japan. It's like the way Ruby is used as an English girl name, itself being a gemstone. Although I like Sabrina (Matilda is okay but I wouldn't name my daughter that), I think Serena is beautiful.

Hmmm well I mainly meant that I thought it strange that someone would say that since it is a vocabulray word they wouldn't use it as a name.---------------------------------------------------------------------
