I love Grainne. My friend's name is Granya, a latinized form of it. BUT, I think if you want to name your daughter after Grace O'Malley, name her Grace. Do not fear its popularity. I like Grainne better and I think you do too but if it's important that you honor O'Malley, do it. Grace and Grainne are very different names.
