WDYT of Rhea?
WDYT of Rhea? It popped into my head recently and I thought it was pretty. I doubt I would use it, particulary for my first-born daughter, Rhea Ruth just doesn't sound or look right to me. I just thought I would see what everyone else thought of it.Editing to add that I pronounce it REE-ah.

Well, I pronounce it RAY-ah, but either way it's just okay to me.
Agreed, Rhea Ruth is a bit much. It wouldn't be bad for sibs though.-Seda*

"Ria" is my NN. I don't like it anymore...I told everybody to call me Ria when I was 11, and now it's just...erk! x.xI prefer the "Rhea" spelling.

I think it's sweet, and I know a little girl named Rhea who's lovely. But like many short names, it just doesn't grab my interest on paper. It might be that it only has one consonant.I agree Rhea Ruth doesn't sound right, but I'm confused ... Do you mean Ruth will be your daughter's definite middle name?_____________________________________________________________________"There are few more distressing sights than that

Yes, My grandmother is Annie Ruth (Goes by Ruth), my mother is Ruth Ann (Goes by both), and I'm Kerri Ruth, so I plan to carry the name on to my daughter.

Ah, well in that case I suppose Rhea as a fn could be a problem. It's quite awkward to say. If you were set on Rhea though, you could always put another middle name in between? Something like Rhea Madelyn Ruth, or Rhea Christina Ruth>_____________________________________________________________________"There are few more distressing sights than that

You could use Rheanna Ruth and use Rhea as a NN.Leslie, lucky mommy to Scott (2000), Delaney (2002), and Larissa (2005)

I think it's an interesting name. Not really my style but I like it. Especially for a middle name.

I like it a lot. At first I thought it was prn. as Ray, but discovered it was Rhee-Uh. What about Rhea Lynn or Rhea Anne?

I've only met one Rhea my entire life and she was a very vivacious women so the name evokes positve images to me. I also think of the actress Rhea Pearlman (from Cheers) and how talented she is. I like the name but I doubt that I'd ever use it, for some reason I like Rae better.

It feels incomplete to me. How are you pronouncing it? I've heard it as Ray-ah, but here it says REE-ah.
