Delia
What do you think of the name Delia it is pro. dil-E-ah
Replies
I like the spelling Delilah better and I like it pronounced DEH-LIE-LA
OH! Just kidding, I didn't read the name correctly! I'm sorry. However, I'm still not fond of it
I've always pronounced it as DEHL-ee-uh... I don't really like it as dil-E-ah.
I've never heard of Delia being pronounced that way. I say it DEEL-YAH, ryhmes withh Celia. I really like it pronounced that way.
pretty name
Well, I pronounce it DEEL-ee-a, which I do like. Dil-E-ah, though, is nmsaa.

Delia Smith's website, for the curious
http://www.deliaonline.com/.
I know the website well because, despite being 99% tube-fed, I still love to read about orally-eaten food, including reading recipes and watching cooking shows. It's a strange quirk, I know, heh. Anyway, I liked Delia's apparently short-lived "How to Cook" cooking show, and currently I also like her website.

Dil- as in a dill pickle? I wouldn't pronounce Delia with Dil-, but with Dell-. Del-e-ah. I don't care for any pronunciation, but I prefer Del-e-ah. If you want it pronounced as you like it, then I suggest spelling it as Dilia, but that just looks awful.

Well, I've always pr. Delia DEEL-ee-ah. dil-EE-ah's an interesting pronunciation, but it's rather non-intuitive to me--it confused me for a minute for that reason.
I like Delia as a name by itself, but pr. DEEL-ee-ah. I think Delia's has a gentle, old-fashioned feel to it, and yet it sounds "cool" in a way I can't concretely describe.

Pretty. I became aware of the name after watching the WB's Everwood. Then I saw the store called Delias at the mall in Syracuse NY and I was like omg I love that name!
