Re: Ariella (plus a note)
I don't want this to turn into a huge debate (sorry that it did), but I just personally prefer the spelling Rene. I realize it's the masculine spelling; I mentioned that when I first posted about using Rene as a MN. Besides, it's just a name that I like at the moment. I'm not planning on having children anytime soon, so who knows, my naming style may very well change by then. I simply like the name to honor my brother & my sister. My brother's MN is Ryan & my sister's MN is Danae; put them together & I get Rene (with whatever spelling). Renee, Rene, Renae. I've seen all of them used on girls & I've never really heard of anyone getting funny looks because they're name was spelled Rene. I'm using it as a MN, not as a FN, so I don't see the big deal really. Anyway, I just wanted to point out that I realize the spelling I've chosen may not be liked by everyone, but it's my preference.

--> Lol, you're almost apologising for your taste here! You shouldn't. I don't really like how someone brought this up and "corrected" you about your sig, when you didn't ask for opinions. However, I feel a rant coming on ...I love BtN, but I do have a problem with the elite that's formed here. A couple of people, who all share a specific taste and have formulated rules of "legit" and "not legit", tend to team up and give others (especially newbies) patronising lectures about why the names they like are not legit. The way they come across is not "I don't like such-and-such" but "such-and-such is wrong, no room for discussion". It's very tiresome imo, and I don't think anyone should think of themselves in this elevated position. Everyone else's opinions are no less valid. So whatever you do, make no apologies for your style. That'll only encourage the controlling regulars I'm talking about ;-)_____________________________________________________________________"There are few more distressing sights than that
