So....
Treasure is in the database now and I'm wondering if anyone likes it but me. It's my daughter's name so don't be too harsh, but let me know your honest opinion.
Also..it took us ages to come up with a nn for her. If she was your daughter what would you nn her? We call her Azure from Treasure.-Seda*

It's nms but it's not horrible or anything. Kind of sweet. :) Azure is a sweet nn. You could call her Tia (my first thought was T.T. or TeeTee...but I'm weird like that). You could use something combining her fn and mn. Rea and Rae are also cute. I'm sure her friends will come up with nn's for her, or she'll come up with one for herself (or prefer none at all) as she gets older. :b

Eh...I don't like it. But, it's original. I have to give you credit for that! Well, it's growing on me. Azure is a pretty NN. I wouldn't name my daughter this, but, now, after reading it over, it's growing on me!

Well, I do like Treasure as a name, but I wouldn't have the guts to use it myself. Plus, (I'm such a geek) I'd feel like I was implying that one child was more of a Treasure than another. :-) To combat that, I'd probably use it as a mn for all of my kids, as I think it translates well to both genders. And Azure is a great nn; I went to school w/a girl named Azure. (Her brother was Avin, b/c I know you care.) :-)If a man say, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he that loves not his brother, whom he has seen, how can he love God, whom he has not seen? 1 John 4:20

Treasure is cute, but I am not sure if I could bring myself to use it. The nickname that came to mind right away was "Tess". I like Tess.

There's a book by Jacqueline Wilson called Secrets...one of the main characters in that was called Treasure.I would probably never use Treasure, but I don't think it's an awful name. It's kind of wordy, but then, I like word names. ;-) It reminds me of shiny gemstones in caves (like something out of Aladdin), for some reason. Which can't be a bad thing! ^ ^

Sorry, but I don't like it at all. I don't mean to be harsh but I couldn't think of a nicer way to say it. Treasure just doesn't seem tasteful to me. It's over-the-top.Azure is no shorter than Treasure, nor any more usable in everyday life imo, so I can't see why it should be a nickname. (I dislike nns that seem contrived.)_____________________________________________________________________"My universe is laced around your wrist; I am the bracelet you sport."Elinor

I wouldnt use as a first name, maybe as a middle name (I know of two girls my age with Treasure as middle names).AnthonyChris: I don't have to listen to you. You're a dog. You don't have a soul!
Brian: Ouch. That was cold.

I used to work with a woman named Treasure. I like it!! She was pretty and sweet and a lot of fun to work with. For a nn maybe Tressie
Tress or Sherry but I like just Treasure.

Treasure sounds like an adult film star....

My intention isn't to be rude...If I wanted to be rude, I'd say something along the lines of, "That name is the TRASHIEST THING I HAVE EVAR HEARD EVAR!!11eleventy" There's really no polite way to say that a name looks like it ought to be listed as "fluffer" in the credits of a poorly made pornographic movie. However, that's exactly how I feel about the name, and I think I phrased it as appropriately as possible. If you can think of a more polite way, do tell.Array

Sorry, but I don't care for it. It just isn't a name to me, only a word, and I cannot see a human being with the name (and I don't think it'll age well). I wouldn't think of a nickname, since I think nicknames should be left up to the child.I hope that wasn't too harsh. :(

Tritto.but I also cannot believe you can call Wesley (on a girl) "horrid" after you named your daughter a noun.

Wait, wait....What do those have to do with each other? Something bad about liking a name on the sex it is meant to be on? Please explain the relavance of your comment, because I find it a little out of place.-Seda*
