Elzie
Do you like this spelling of Elsie? I don't care if you like the name, I just want to know about the spelling.~Memento Mori~

Elsa / Elsie is one of my favorite names. I don't care for the 'z" spelling. I suppose if Elzbieta (sp?) were the formal name, then it would make sense.

I don't care for it, sorryElsie's very, very uncommon nowadays anyway. I don't think it needs to be "uniquefied" by altering it's spelling.Elsie's also the name of my grandmother's next-door neighbour, and arguably her best friend. Elsie must be in her 70s too, though I've never asked her age.

It makes me think of "sleezy", so I don't like it. I like Elsie better.

Not really ... But I don't consider it a "spelling" difference because I pronounce them differently. Elzie would be cute as a nn for Elizabeth-with-a-Z. Elsie works for Elisabeth or Elspeth._____________________________________________________________________"My universe is laced around your wrist; I am the bracelet you sport."Elinor

No, becauseElsie is pronounced el-see. If I saw Elzie I would think it was pronounced el-zee. Unless you plan on pronouncing it el-zee it seems like more trouble than it is worth.

I do pronounce it El-Zee

No, I don't like the spelling ELZIE. The two names would be pronounced differently to me, seeing as one has an "s" and the other a "z". I do like Elsie, though.

I like the spelling Elsea. I don't know why. It's just...different...~~The brave may not live forever, but the cautious don't live at all~~

No, I don't care for the spelling. It just looks like you were seeking out a spelling to make the name "different." Changing the spelling of a name does not change the name or popularity, etc. It looks tacky to me, and with the way it sounds, I think of the word sleazy.
