It's my older brother's name and I never particularly loved it, but now I too quite like it these days. Even if my brother wasn't Simon, I still wouldn't use it, but I don't mind it.

I dislike Simon. It sounds weak but also somehow sinister to me. I can't explain where I got that connotation from :-/

I adore the name Simon. But I love a lot of "British" sounding names. Whatever that means. :b

I do tend to associate it with a chipmunk and Simon Cowell from American Idol (ugh), too, though. Not sure I'd ever use it, but I do love it.

It definitely fits with your style of names. I picture a boy like Harry Potter.

Simon is seriously considered for a future son. Simon Finn or Simon Arthur are my favourite combos. Or simply Simon (but pron. SHEE-mown) if I'll be living in Hungary that time.

It's great. It reminds me of Paul Simon, which brings it up quite a bit in my book, and it's in the same category as names like Philip. It should be getting used, but it doesn't seem to be getting any action just now.
